Finder Canned Searches [Mac Tip]

Mac OS X only: There is a cool thing buried inside Finder.app.

If you like the current canned searches that you could find on your finder sidebar e.g. All Documents or All Movies, but wished they were more. Worry not.

Below is how to get more of canned searches on your sidebar:

1. Open Finder and hit Shift-Cmd-G.

2. Type in /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Resources/CannedSearches/

3. Drag the smart folders you like to the sidebar.

Now you can easily find all your Applications or PDF files in one place very quickly. :D
